Campbell County's HallowGreen Litter Pick-up Initiative is off to a great start. Officials thanked everyone who came out to the Trick or Treat Trail event on Saturday, which was hosted by the Campbell County Public Library System. During the event, 68 families registered for the HallowGreen Litter Pick-Up initiative, committing to help keep neighborhoods clean.
Participants are reminded to record the number of bags they collect HERE by November 5. Supplies can be returned to any Campbell County Library branch, the Recreation Department or the PER office when participants are done.
Because this is an ongoing effort by Campbell County to keep the locality clean throughout the year, participants are welcome to keep their litter kits and continue cleanup efforts into 2027. Bags of litter collected can continue to be logged using the same link.
County officials said they are encouraged by the community's response to the initiative and urged participants to keep up the effort.
