REQUESTS FOR BIDS Town of Rural Retreat, Virginia c/o Mr. Jason Childers Town Manager 307 South Main Street Rural Retreat, Virginia 24368 Sealed Bids for the New Facility for the Rural Retreat Farmer's Market project will be received at Rural Retreat Town Hall (307 South Main Street), until 2:00 PM local prevailing time on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of sitework and construction of a new farmer's market building. Bids shall be on a Lump Sum basis. Contract Documents will be available for inspection and download (free of charge) at http://www.handp.com/contact/bids/. Paper copies of the Contract Documents can be purchased at the office of Hurt & Proffitt upon nonrefundable payment of $200 for each set. Bidding Documents also may be examined at: Hurt & Proffitt, Inc., 1861 Pratt Drive, Suite 1100, Blacksburg, VA 24060 DODGE Data, 3315 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71913 Valley Construction News Plan Room, 426 Campbell Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24016 Associated General Contractors Plan Room, 249 Neal Dr., Blountville, TN 37617 A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm local time on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Rural Retreat Town Hall, 307 South Main Street, Rural Retreat, Virginia, followed by a site visit. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with procedure (i) of Section 2.2 - 4330 of the Code of Virginia. BIDDER'S attention is invited to the requirements of Section 54.1 of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration and contractor licensure. The bidder shall place on the outside of the envelope containing the bid and shall place in the bid over his signature whichever of the following notations is appropriate: "Licensed Class A Virginia Contractor No. ________________."
