REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BIDS People Incorporated of Virginia is inviting separate, sealed bids from experienced, reliable general contractors for the rehabilitation of the existing Singleton Automotive Building into an office building. Renovations will include Asbestos removal, parking lot re-design, interior offices, bathrooms, conference areas, etc., along with replacing existing storefronts, windows and adding more storefronts at roll-up door locations. Copies of the Invitation for Bids, plans, specifications, and contract documents may be requested from Bundy Architecture and Engineering, Inc., 190 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210. All work is procured through competitive bidding. Contractors must have a Virginia Class A license and show proof of insurance and worker's compensation. The bidder must place the "Licensed Class A Virginia Contractor Number" on the outside of the envelope containing the bid and also on the bid over the bidder's signature. Local contractors will be used to the fullest extent possible. People Incorporated is an Equal Opportunity Employer. A pre-bid conference will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Singleton Building, 1225 West Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210. Sealed proposals should be sent to Bundy Architecture and Engineering, Inc., 190 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210, Attn: Matt Bundy by no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The procedure for withdrawal of bid shall be according to Title 2.2-4330. Code of Virginia (1982) as amended.
