NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: BY WHOM: Joint Public Service Authority of Wythe Co. and Bland Co. WHERE: Wythe County Board Room, in the Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia WHEN: Tuesday, March 21, 2023, beginning at 6:05 p.m., or shortly thereafter PURPOSE: Per the code of VA section 15.2-5136 & 15.2-5114, due to the increased costs related to for solid waste disposal, the Joint Public Service Authority of Wythe Co. and Bland Co. is proposing an increase to the rates charged for Solid Waste Disposal Services as follows: Tipping Fee Current Rate Structure: $52.00 per ton Proposed Rate Structure: $62.00 per ton Interested persons are invited to attend. Additional information regarding the proposed fee increases is available for public review during normal business hours at Transfer Station, 169 Kents Ln Wytheville VA 24382.
